DTF Transfer Printing
DTF Transfer Printing or Direct to film (DTF) printing is a unique printing tech that involves digitally printing designs onto special films for transfer onto garments (custom T-shirts, hoodies, etc.). DTF printing is a heat-based transfer process that can last as long (or even longer) than traditional silkscreen prints.Â
Things to know about DTF Transfer Printing:
- File Formats Allowed:Â .png, jpeg, svg, pdf, (with transparent background)
- For best results, artwork must be created in CMYK, if created in RGB the Colors may not match your artwork.
- DO NOT flip or mirror your designs. They will be printed backwards.
Applying Our DTF Transfers
Pre-heat Press (285-305) or recommended temperature by apparel manufacturer to prevent scorching
Position transfer in desired location.
Press for 10 seconds using cover sheet. Remember: This is “Hot-Peel”, so remove film with in 3 seconds of pressing.
After removing transfer film, press for an additional 8 seconds using craft paper, texture canvas or teflon sheet.
